For the seventh consecutive year, CDA Sign Language Academy Senior Tutor Jamie Billiam welcomes students from Cambridge University’s Medical School for their fast-track British Sign Language Level 1 course.
The six students will be learning BSL to the level 1 certificate with some deaf awareness and medical sign language part of the specially adapted curriculum. The course will take place every day over 4-weeks at CDA’s Hope Hall in Cambridge.

Andy Palmer, Managing Director of CDA said:
“It was a pleasure to welcome the students today as part of the successful long-term relationship we have with Cambridge University.
“Jamie is a first-class tutor and his students will, after only 4-weeks, come away with great knowledge, skill, and a qualification too.
“There’s already lots of interest in our courses in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Cambridge beginning in September, I would encourage anyone to do what the medical students did and get yourself registered on a course because places will be limited.”
