Independent Clubs and Meetups

Cambridgeshire has a thriving Deaf Community. Here are some of the groups you can join


The club begins at 7:30pm till 9:30pm. There is ample free parking too! Everyone is welcome, children and adults and both deaf and hearing.

Meetings at Cromwell’s Bar Huntingdon , 137 High St, Huntingdon PE29 3NF; take place on the second Tuesday of the month.

Held at CDA, 8 Romsey Terrace, Cambridge CB1 3NH on the third Saturday of the month from 2-6pm.

There is a newly refurbished main hall, new kitchen a with large TV and pool table.


Chat, relax and have fun with welcoming people.

Littleport BSL Group

Kick off the weekend with friends and British Sign Language with the Litteport BSL Group.

The group meet on the Last Friday of each month at 7:30pm at the Plough and Harrow Pub in Littleport. The group is led by Gemma Crossland. The pub is only a short walk from the Littleport train station.

Cambourne BSL Social is a new group run by BSL Cambridge Tea and Sign.

A friendly, relaxed group held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the Belfry hotel in Cambourne.
All BSL Levels welcome from beginners to native users.

It starts at 7.30pm in the lounge to the right of the bar.

Cambridge Tea and Sign

Cambridge Tea and Sign is a monthly meet up on the 2nd Floor cafe in Waterstones Bookshop in Cambridge. All ages and all BSL users welcome from beginners to first language users.
They meet one Saturday every month from 2.30pm.

Come along to Fenland’s New Deaf Skywatch Club.

Organised by David Kettle and Godfrey Palmer, the club aims to bring the wonder of astronomy to the deaf community. Watch the video for more information:
