Due to the continued expansion of CDA, we are looking to recruit a new Case Worker.
CDA Case Workers are at the front of supporting the Deaf Community. Our Case Workers have to be excellent at BSL, have a good broad knowledge of benefits and services available to deaf people and be eager to learn new information and skills.
Our Case Worker also has the be positive face of CDA with a ‘can do’ attitude and always looking for ways promote the independence of deaf people while making sure our client’s support needs are thoroughly met without cutting corners.
You’ll have to be the key person in our Open Support Services in Cambridge and Huntingdon where deaf people receive information and support on a regular basis.
You’ll need a deep well of interpersonal skills and patience; the ability to communicate at different levels of BSL and with some deaf people who don’t use BSL but struggle to communicate; and keep an open mind and flexible approach to supporting people.
