About CDA Life

CDA Life was established in 2017 to meet the needs of Deaf people with additional requirements. Many Deaf individuals were previously cared for in institutions that did not fully understand or accommodate their communication needs, which are vital to their overall care. At CDA Life, we recognise that communication is the cornerstone of effective care and support.

Our unwavering goal is to ensure that Deaf people with additional needs are empowered to live their fullest lives, with absolute control and choice in the way they live. This is made possible through the careful selection of dedicated staff, brilliant training programmes, and our connection to the wider charity, which offers a range of social and support opportunities. Our services have been recognised as outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), placing us among the best care providers in the UK.

Our Services

At CDA Life, we offer a wide range of services, including personal care provided in people’s homes. Our services cater to various needs, including support for individuals with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, dementia, and mobility issues. Our staff are experienced in providing essential care such as hoisting, personal hygiene, feeding, and administering medication.

We understand that each individual’s needs are unique, which is why we provide flexible support options. Whether you require as little as 2 hours of support per week or 24-hour care, our services are tailored to suit your personal circumstances and ensure you receive the level of care you need.

We also offer social inclusion services, where trained support workers accompany individuals with additional needs, helping them to lead a full and active social life. This service is vital in ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to engage with their community and enjoy a happy, fulfilling life.

Training and Standards

All CDA Life staff undergo rigorous training before they begin working with clients. This includes a period of shadowing, along with the completion of over 40 training courses, covering essential skills and knowledge. Our staff continue to receive training throughout their careers and are provided with further learning and development opportunities.

Care that Empowers

At CDA Life, our mission is to empower the people we care for to live their best lives. This ethos is at the heart of everything we do, and our entire team works together to make this a reality.

We’ve seen incredible outcomes from those we support, as they pursue their personal goals, dreams, and ambitions with confidence. For example we’ve supported people to fly planes, attend college, develop language skills and learn and be proud of their deaf identity.
