Our Autumn 2026 Quarterly Programme is out now, with everything happening across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough from September to November. You can download it from our Events page.
Inside you will find three months of coffee mornings, drop-ins, day trips, talks, sport and socials — plus a handful of one-off events worth putting in the diary early. Serena and Ky have both recorded BSL translation videos of their welcome messages, which you can watch by scanning the QR codes inside the programme.
Special events to book early
- Sailability, Tuesday 15 September, 11am–1pm — inclusive, accessible sailing at Nene Outdoors, Ferry Meadows, Peterborough.
- Sacrewell Farm visit, Tuesday 8 September, 10am–4pm — a full day out with our DeafBlind social group.
- Our AGM, Saturday 10 October, 12pm–2pm — a members’ event in Peterborough, venue to be confirmed.
- Halloween Felting Workshop, Thursday 22 October, 12pm–2pm — at Huntingdon Community Church.
Talks and workshops
This quarter brings a strong run of information sessions. Nutrition Talks come to the Cambridge Coffee Morning on 15 September and the Peterborough Drop In on 16 September. Parkinson’s Workshop 3 takes place at Cambourne Church on 18 September, featuring Amy Wallhead from Culver Law on Powers of Attorney and Wills. There is an Alzheimer’s Talk at the Peterborough Drop In on 14 October, a Self-Advocacy Workshop in Huntingdon on 1 October, and Culver Law Talks in Peterborough (9 September), Cambridge (6 October) and Wisbech (15 October).
The regulars
Bowling continues at Eat N Bowl in St Neots and Hollywood Bowl in Peterborough, board games run monthly at the Blue Diamond Garden Centre in Huntingdon, and by popular demand both archery at The Focus Centre and the Dobbies social are back on the last Friday of every month. Boxing with Boxing Futures in Yaxley runs every other Friday at £5 a session.
For socialising, there are BSL Gatherings at the Argo Lounge on the first Saturday of the month, the Peterborough Deaf Pub at The Brewery Tap on the fourth Saturday, and Cambridge Deaf Club on 19 September, 17 October and 21 November. Coffee mornings run right across the county — Peterborough, Ely, Cambridge, Wisbech and Huntingdon — alongside our weekly Peterborough Drop In at City College every Wednesday.
Hearing Help
Thanks to our brilliant volunteers, Hearing Help now runs 33 regular drop-in locations, and a new monthly session opens in Ramsey this September. Every session offers NHS hearing aid maintenance, batteries, tubing changes and practical advice, and no appointment is needed. Many people stay for a cup of tea and a chat, which is just as much the point. All the dates, including the quarterly sessions, are listed in the programme.
